一、主旨題
這類問題主要測試考生把握主題與中心思想的能力。主要形式有：
main idea of this passage is ________.
passage mainly discusses ________.
is the passage primarily(1.主要地， 首要地; 本來) concerned (2.感興趣的;關切的;關注的)about?
is the main topic(1.題目， 論題， 話題) of this passage?
除了上述直接形式外，還有隱蔽型主旨題：
Which of the following(2.下述;下列;如下) is the author(1.著作家， 作者)'s advice(1.勸告， 忠告， 意見) to the reader(1.讀者)?
標題是主旨題的變體。主要形式有：
h of the following would (1.(will 的過去式，用於轉述)將，將會)be the best (3.最合適的.;最恰當的)title(1.題目， 標題) for the passage?

作者的態度、寫作目的與主題和中心思想關係密切，可以看做主旨題的延伸。主要形式有：
問寫作目的：

問態度：
author's attitude(1.態度， 看法) toward(3.對於， 關於)s …… is ________.

此外，對於文章內容、風格與讀者物件的評判也可歸入此類題型。如：

這類問題主要測試考生使用詞語搭配和根據上下文判斷詞義的能力。主要形式有：

四、推理題
這類問題主要測試考生能否在理解字面意義的基礎上，根據所讀材料進行一定的判斷和推理，進而理解文章的隱含意義和深層意義。
主要形式有：

can be concluded from the passage that ________.
