 附:英語六級翻譯技巧

1、高階詞彙。翻譯時,儘量表現出自己的語言水平,避免使用一些過於簡單的詞彙,而要選擇一些更高階的詞彙,例如“have to”可以換成“be obliged to”。

2、句式多樣。可以有選擇性地運用倒裝結構、被動語態、否定句、虛擬語氣、比較結構、從句、非謂語動詞等句型,讓句式結構更加豐富多彩。

例:正是通過絲綢之路,中國的造紙、火藥、指南針、印刷術等四大發明才被引介到世界各地。

一般譯文:The Silk Road introduced four Chinese inventions to the world. They were papermaking, gunpowder, compass and printing.

高分譯文:It was through the Silk Road that the four great inventions of ancient China, namely papermaking, gunpowder, compass and printing, were introduced to the world.

點評:“一般譯文”為兩個主動語態的簡單句,“高分譯文”將其整合成了一個被動句。把“正是……才……”處理成了“It was… that…”的強調句型,並將“造紙、火藥、指南針、印刷術”處理成了插入語“namely papermaking, gunpowder, compass and printing”。
