Vted + 賓語謂語Vted非謂語 Be + Vted謂語 Be + Vted + 賓語非謂語。
所謂的Vted就是過去分詞，是及物動詞，dedicated to raising是非謂語。及物動詞必有賓語，dedicated後沒有賓語，如果加了賓語，就象這個dedicted raising，此時它就是謂語動詞了。

同學們如果沒有答對這道題，多半是沒有弄懂 credited 這個過去分詞到底是謂語還是非謂語。實際上，它是個非謂語，逗號後是個過分修飾的名詞短語。前面是個完整的句子，好了，A because 連詞，而沒有與之相配的謂語，不對。C to which 也沒有與之相配的謂語，錯。D沒有連詞卻有個謂語，錯。
還有，比如固定搭配，副詞可修飾副詞，形容詞，句子，但不能修飾名詞，也要掌握這些小知識點。 among 放在句首後面的謂語與主語要倒裝， so 放於句首要倒裝，介詞引導的表地點，方位的狀語提前到句首要倒裝等。How 在TOEFL中只作連詞。單個形容詞修飾名詞放在名詞前，而形容詞短語修飾名詞放在名詞後。如：beautiful girl, stage bare of scenery，其中 bare of scenery 為形容詞短語後置作 stage 的定語。過去分詞要想作名詞的定語必須後置。
