新華社援引陳德銘的話說：“由於美元發行失控，國際商品價格持續上漲，中國正面臨輸入型通脹的危機，這導致的不確定性給公司造成巨大困難。”
文中的importedinflation就是指“輸入型通脹”，是指由於國外商品或生產要素價格的上漲，引起國內物價的持續上漲現象。Inflation(通貨膨脹)就是指貨幣貶值，物價持續上漲的'情況，與之相對應的則是deflation(通貨緊縮)。
我國已採取多種措施管理inflation expectation(通脹預期)，如果inflation無法得到控制，就會演化為gallopinginflation/hyper-inflation(惡性通脹)。在inflationrate(通貨膨脹率)較高的時期，如果出現高失業率及高物價並存的現象，就稱為stagflation(滯脹)。
