導語：提高英語聽力，當然可以有多種方法，比如您是大款，您可以花錢僱一個英國人，天天陪著您，跟您說英語，或者乾脆去英國，住上幾年，聽力也就上去了。不過您也明白，絕大多數中國人都沒有這個條件，所以我們必須找一種適合中國國情、比較經濟、又比較有效的方法，下面我就給您介紹一種，您可以試試，看看效果怎樣。
首先，您必須學過英語，並且掌握至少1000個單詞，這是前提條件。我這裡所說的“掌握”是指，我單獨說出一個單詞，比如cinema，您就能聽出來，哦，是cinema，中文意思是電影院，但是把這個單詞放在一個長句子中，您就聽不出來了，因為您的聽力比較差。
隨後，您必須從今天開始，堅持每天晚上8點鐘(或7點鐘，或9點鐘)，收聽中國國際廣播電臺(CRI)的.英語新聞，大約10分鐘，不會佔用您很多時間。CRI的英語新聞，國內許多大、中城市的FM都可以收到，萬一收不到，也可以改聽美國之音(VOA)、英國廣播公司(BBC)甚至北韓的英語新聞，但我不知道它們的頻率。
在您聽之前，您必須準備好一張紙和一支筆，英語新聞開始後，您就必須認真聽，一定要認真聽，周圍環境最好要安靜，每聽到一個自己熟悉的單詞，就立刻把它寫在紙上，比如聽到minister，馬上寫下來，聽到visit，馬上寫下來，等等等等。
第一天，您可能只聽懂15個單詞，沒有關係，第二天就可能增加到27個，只要您堅持(我特別強調堅持)，一個月之後，您至少能夠聽懂幾百個，半年之後，您掌握的那些單詞，基本上都能聽出來了。
這樣邊聽邊寫，有三大好處。第一是練習聽力，第二是溫習單詞，這兩點，我就不用多說了。第三點，非常非常重要，假設您剛剛聽了一條新聞，是關於中東局勢的，並在紙上記下4個單詞，分別是bomb(炸彈)、seven(七人)、died(死亡)、occupy(佔領)，其它單詞都沒聽懂，但這已經沒有關係了，因為根據您的國際常識，您已經可以猜出，巴勒斯坦激進組織又在以色列製造了一起炸彈爆炸事件，造成七人死亡，以色列馬上進行報復，佔領了部分巴勒斯坦領土。
如果您今後英語越學越好，終於有一天，有一家大公司聘請您為英語口譯，您就必須具備這種速記、速猜、速譯的能力，這是因為在實際口譯過程中，對方往往要講一大段話，才停下來，此時，您必須能夠抓住幾個關鍵詞，再根據您的記憶，把這一大段話的中文意思串出來。
