John and Mary’s Skiing Holiday Both John and Mary love skiing. After they got married, they went to Canada for their skiing holiday. They had planned it for some time but they didn’t enjoy it very much because the things didn’t go as they planned. First the taxi to the airport didn’t come, and they had to ask their friend to take them to the airport. Fortunately, they got there just in time. They got on the plane and then discovered the pilot was sick and they had to wait another two hours for another pilot. The plane finally took off, and they arrived in Canada several hours later. By the time they got to the hotel they were very tired and annoyed, but at least they had arrived. The holiday was beginning. Then on the third day, John broke his shoulder while skiing and couldn’t ski for the rest of the week, so they wanted to go back home, but before they left, they got a phone call from the neighbor who was looking after their car. The night before the neighbor noticed that someone had broken that car window, so he went to check the house the door was open. The thief had taken everything including all their wedding presents.
