had better,should,ought to
better
had better的意思是最好,後面接動詞原形,表示說話人希望對方做什麼。had better not則表示說話人希望對方最好不要做什麼。
had better see a doctor.
你最好找大夫看看。
You had better not go home now.
你現在最好不要回家。

should通常表示勸告,建議,意思是應該。
should keep your promise.
你應該履行諾言。
You should invite him to the party.
你應該邀請他參加舞會。
t to
(1)ought to常用來表示因為有責任、義務,而應該做某事,通常與should意思相近。
students ought to obey the school rules.
學生們應遵守校規。
Oughtn't we to give him a chance to try?
我們難道不應該給他一個嘗試的機會嗎?
(2)ought to也常用來表示勸告或建議,意思是應當,宜於。
e ought to be more buses during the rush hours.
