1.快速泛讀
平時要養成快速泛讀的習慣。這裡將講的泛讀指廣泛閱讀大量涉及不同領域的書籍。要求讀得快，理解掌握書中主要內容即可(文秋芳，1996)。要確定一個明確的.數額，要結合自己的實踐，量體裁衣。同時應注意讀物的難易程度，單純以速度衡量效果是不全面的。
2.計時閱讀
有的人對於同一篇文章慢讀時理解準確率就高，而快讀時準確率就降低了。這是為什麼很多學生抱怨平時做題準，一到考試就不理想的原因之一。那麼要
想提高閱讀速度，平時必須有意識地多做計時閱讀的訓練。大學聯考中平均每篇閱讀理解平均所需要的時間大約七、八分鐘左右。因此平時計時閱讀訓練每次進行5至

3.略讀
我們把略讀也可稱為跳讀或者瀏覽。這是一種專門的非常實用的快速閱讀的技能。而所謂的略讀，實指儘可能快的閱讀，迅速地獲取文章的大意或主題思想。也就是說略讀要求讀者有選擇地進行閱讀，可以跳過某些不必要的細節，而抓住文章的大概，從而加快閱讀的速度。
我們在進行略讀訓練時要注意以下技巧：
(1)要利用排版格式，如書或文章的標題、副標題、小標題、斜體字、黑體字腳註、標點符號等。對書和文章進行預測略讀。預測略讀要了解作者的思路、文章方式，以把握大意、有關的細節極其相互關係。
(2)以一般速度閱讀。閱讀文章開頭的一、二段，力求抓住文章的大意、背景情況、作者的文章風格、口吻或語氣等
(3)閱讀段落的主題句和結論句。聚統計，大約有80%的主題句是段落的首句，其他20%左右的是尾句。因此我們往往可以通過閱讀每段的首句或尾句來了解整篇文章的大意。
(4)注意關聯詞，如轉折詞however, moreover,序列詞firstly, secondly 等.
