由於英語使用許多連線詞，所以，句式結構比較靈活多樣。但商務英語屬於正式文體，因此，它有著典型的書面英語句法特徵：句子結構較為複雜，句式規範，文體正式，尤其在商務合同協議中更是如此。請看下例：

同時，商務英語的句式結構也趨於簡短。例如：
We hereby confirm... / This is to confirm... 茲確認……
Our firm had a bad year last year.去年我公司年景不佳。
Enclosed please find...隨函附上……，請查收。
I can't share your view on that.對此本人不敢苟同。
這些句型看似簡單，但要做到在從事國際商務活動中對這些常用句型信手拈來、應用自如，也非易事。
