BEC不同於四六級考試，它具有很強的商業應用性，並且它的考試詞彙要求和題型是和四六級有很大的區別的。不過也不是說它難，只要好好準備就行了。
BEC口語包含很多商務方面的專業知識並且最好是要找到一個partner練習口語,培養默契. 可以每天練習一個話題，但是一定要練不可以偷懶，不是說口語考試有多麼難，但是隻有準備充足，才能更加自信和從容，也有利於在BEC考試中得高分。
BEC口語一般在筆試後的第二天進行，但是也有可能出現報考的人數偏多，從第二天早上到晚上甚至第三天考試也是可能的。BEC考試在全國的考點並不多，所以在你的學校或者工作地點附近沒有考點或者分考點的話，你就需要提前訂好房間以備考試。
在你進行口語面試之前，會有專門的人員讓同一考試時間的人集合候考，在候考期間，你可不要隨意走了，否則分數為0了。候考的10分鐘裡，如果你沒有口語搭檔，你要趕緊隨機找一個，並且與他進行一下口語對話，讓彼此熟悉和克服考試前的緊張。如果你有自己的熟悉的口語搭檔，那就最好了。
BEC口語分為三個部分，第一部分是短對話，面試官一般有兩個，一個對你進行提問，另一個負責看你的表現，為你打分。面試官一般為英語專業的優秀老師。
面試官會對你進行幾個簡單的提問，比如你來自哪個學校?你的專業是什麼?你喜歡英語嗎?學習英語多久了?你的職業規劃是什麼或者你有什麼工作或學習計劃?你的愛好是什麼?你最喜歡的運動是什麼?你喜愛你的學校嗎?你覺得你家鄉好嗎?等等。對於每個問題，你只要聽懂，並且回答三四句即可，回答問題的時候一定要自信，並且發音清楚，面帶微笑。這個時間一般為2-3分鐘。第二個問題是你和你的搭檔一起的，面試官會給你們一張紙，題目是可能一樣的，也可能不一樣，題目一般為3個，和歷年真題輯一樣，面試官會給你們30秒或1分鐘時間讓你們從中選擇一個自己感興趣的回答，比如
I choose topic A, 然後把題念一遍。
總括I think there are three points/aspects to consider.
First, 把題卡上第一點說一下，然後用兩三句話解釋
Second, 把題卡上第二點說一下，然後用兩三句話解釋
Third, 把你發揮的第三點說一下，然後用兩三句話解釋
總結：
In conclusion,/In summary, I think 三個要點重複一下 are important when doing sth.(重複一下原題的要求)

總之，一定要條理清楚，每個點至少講三句，並且進行總結。
你講完後，考官會問你一個相關問題，你進行回答，一般都是對這個問題的.補充，你回答時要把問題聽清楚再回答，不要言不及義，如果你聽不清楚，可以讓面試官再講一遍，Sorry,I beg your pardon you speak slowly?你如果聽了幾遍還不清楚，千萬別慌，就猜一下，然後在回答。問你之後也會問你的搭檔他的問題的。
第三部分是一個長對話，你和你的搭檔圍繞一個題目進行展開。比如：
問題Your company is going to attend a trade fair in the US, and you are required to discuss what should be done as preparations in advance.
考生
A: Well, you see, our company is going to attend a trade fair in the US.
考生B: Yeah, sounds exciting. Since we've never done that before, we need to have good preparations for the trip in advance.
A: You're right. The first thing to do is of course to make travel and accommodation arrangements, such as choosing an airline offering good services and the flight of the right time so that we can arrange things well and in an effective way.
B: This can be done by making several phone calls. And we have to make advance reservation with a local hotel so that the people for the trade fair can have a place to stay immediately after they arrive in the country.
A: With early booking, we may even enjoy some discounts. And it's better to choose a hotel near the trade fair. That can save the time traveling there.
B: Or we can arrange beforehand to hire a car from a local car rental company.

A: We should also learn about business customs such as the different systems of measurement. For instance, we use the day/ month/ year system for dating while the US use month/ day/ year system. And there are many other differences including topics acceptable in conversation.
B: Also, Chinese businessmen tend to have business negotiations in a rather indirect manner, while American businessmen have a more direct style. Our people should be made to understand all these differences.
A: But how to find out about all this?
B: I think there are many ways to find out about these before the trip, say, we can go to the Internet, read some reference books or get tips from experienced colleagues and clients.
A: Those could be effective ways. Let's get them done.
你和你搭檔在長對話之前，你會有1分鐘左右準備這個問題，因為實際上時間倉促，沒有那麼多時間，你可以用鉛筆在紙上寫下要講的要點，對話的時候忘記了，可以瞟一眼。這個時候要快速想到可能有關的關鍵詞。
當你和你的搭檔長對話結束之後，考官需要你和你的搭檔互相問對方一個問題，這個問題，可以簡單也可以複雜，但最好雙方都能夠有默契，不坑對方，這個問題最好回答至少3句左右，語句可以是簡單句，但是包含商業詞彙會往往容易得高分。
2015年11月BEC中級口語試題預測舉例：
1.Q：What make you think you would be a success in this position?(你如何知道你能勝任這份工作?)
A：My graduate school training combined with my internship should qualify me for this particular job. I am sure I will be successful. (我在研究所的訓練，加上實習工作，使我適合這份工作。我相信我能成功。)
2.Q：Are you a multi-tasked individual?(你是一位可以同時承擔數項工作的人嗎?) or Do you work well under stress or pressure?(你能承受工作上的壓力嗎?)
A：Yes, I think so.
A：The trait is needed in my current(or previous) position and I know I can handle it well. (這種特點就是我目前(先前)工作所需要的，我知道我能應付自如。)
3.Q：What provide you with a sense of accomplishment. (什麼會讓你有成就感?)
A：Doing my best job for your company. (為貴公司竭力效勞。)
A：Finishing a project to the best of my ability. (盡我所能，完成一個專案。)
4.Q：If you had a lot of money to donate, where would you donate it to?Why?(假如你有很多錢可以捐贈，你會捐給什麼單位?為什麼?)
A：I would donate it to the medical research because I want to do something to help others. (我會捐給醫藥研究，因為我要為他人做點事。)
