4月16日早晨大約8：50左右，監考老師會將各位手中聽寫試卷收走，同時下發餘下一百道選擇題題目，分別是：聽力部分共30題，完型部分20題，語法和詞彙部分30題，閱讀部分20題。完成以上題目的時間共計70分鐘左右。
完成聽寫後，請各位調整心態，聽力選擇題的.難度在長對話和短文聽力部分開始減弱，在新聞部分稍稍加強，具體解題思路是：
長對話和短文聽力的解法
概況：長對話(三篇)Q1-Q10 短文聽力(三篇)Q11-Q20
第一步：看題
全卷放音前看題時間共計約2分鐘，每個聽力段落結束後有15至20秒的答題時間。
看題幹：請迅速勾劃大寫詞彙、資料、時間、比較關係，最高階，引用處等詞彙，另外，名詞和動詞為一般性重點。
看選項：除上述特徵詞彙外，選項中最需要注意的位置通常為謂賓結構處或標語結構處。利用此方式能夠大大節省看題時間，杜絕“看”“聽”無法同步的問題。
例：2010-Q10/Q19
Why was Mary sure that the briefcase was hers in the end? (名詞)
A. The papers inside had the company's name.(謂賓)
B. The briefcase was found in the restaurant. (表語)

第二步：聽力和做題
1、 關注首句或開頭處，此處容易涉及第一題。
例：2010-Q1
The following details have been checked during the conversation EXCEPT

原文第一段：

所有選項都被讀到。Double room 指雙人間，而D的含義是客房服務。
2、 注意在細節類選項旁進行標記。
例：2010-Q11
We learn from the passage that about two-thirds of the courses are taught through
A. the School of Design and Visual Arts.
B. the School of Social Work.
C. the School of Business.
D. the Arts and Sciences program.

做本題時，刪除選項的順序是B-C-A，最後判斷D是對的。其中，題乾的two-thirds 被換成了60%。
3、 注意轉折、因果、最高階、問答結構和同義替換的考點。這是聽力理解的一般性考點。
4、 一定注意提前看帶有“CORRECT”“INCORRECT”的題目，因為類似題目的選項很長，很容易做錯。
5、 順序做題，不要回頭。
第三步：注意檢查
某些題目由於各種緣故無法聽出時，注意利用空餘時間進行閱讀式排查，使用嘗試和邏輯做題。

新聞聽力的解法
概況：新聞(五~六篇)Q20-Q30
一、看題原則：和長對話及短文聽力一致
二、解題原則
1、 首句破題：這已經成為專四專八新聞聽力最常見的考點設計。第一句對第一題的設計要求考生儘快進入狀態，速戰速決。
例：2011-Q21
According to the news, the victim was
A. a 17-year-old girl.
B. a 15-year-old boy.
C. a 23-year-old woman.
D. an 18-year-old man.

按照首句的描述，符合選項的只有：woman. 答案即出現。
2、 資料類題目注意定位。要將題幹中大寫、資料以及空格右邊的單位進行標記，然後靜等答案出現即可。
例：2005-Q28
According to a Xinhua report, last year saw a _________ per cent increase in the number of Chinese traveling abroad.
[A] 16.6 [B] 30 [C] 100 [D] 37

3、 災難性新聞很可能繼續出現。多年題目考點集中在，人數、災難原因等方向。
例：2010-Q29
