一、feel用作實義動詞的用法
1. 表示“感覺”，屬感官動詞，其後接不定式的複合結構作賓語時，不定式不能帶 to。
如： toWe all felt the house shake. 我們都感覺這房子在震動。
I felt something crawl up my arm. 我覺得有什麼東西順著我的胳膊向上爬。
【注】feel 之後也通常接現在分詞的複合結構，所以上面兩句中的 shake, crawl 也可換成 shaking, crawling。
根據需要，有時也可能用過去分詞的複合結構。
如：He felt a great weight taken off his mind. 他感到去掉了一件大心事。
2. 表示“覺得”、“認為”，其後可接“賓語＋to be”這樣的形式。
注意：這裡 to 不能省略，且該結構可與 that 從句轉換。
如：He felt them to be right. /He felt that they were right. 他認為他們是對的。
They all felt the plan to be unwise. /They all felt that the plan was unwise. 他們都認為這個計劃不明智。
【注】當賓語是不定式等時，需藉助形式賓語 it。
如：I feel it my duty to help her. 我覺得我有責任幫助她。
比較：I feel that it is my duty to help her.
3. 比較 feel sth 與 feel for sth：前者意為“摸某物”，後者意為“摸著找某物”。
如：The doctor first felt my pulse. 醫生先摸了我的脈。
He felt in the dark for the switch. 他在黑暗中摸索尋找開關。
【注】feel for sb 意為“同情某人”。
如：We really felt for her when her husband died. 她丈夫死了，我們十分同情她。
二、feel用作連繫動詞的用法
1. 表示某人的`感覺，以人作主語。
如：I don’t feel very well today. 我今天感到不太舒服。
We all felt rather worried. 我們都感到很著急。
【注】用於此義時，可用於進行時態。
如：I feel [am feeling] very well. 我感覺很好。
2. 表示某物摸起來給人的感覺，通常要以被摸之物作主語。
如：Your hand feels cold. 你的手摸起來很涼。Ice feels cold. 冰感覺起來是涼的。
Silk feels soft and smooth. 絲綢摸起來很柔軟平滑。
【注】該用法雖有被動含義，但不用於被動語態；同時也不用於進行時態，並且其後一般也不接
【注】 to be。
如：玻璃摸起來是光滑的。
誤：Glass is felt smooth.
誤：Glass is feeling smooth.
誤：Glass feels to be smooth.
正：Glass feels smooth.
3. 表示使人感覺起來有什麼特徵等，通常要以被感覺之物作主語。
如：It felt pleasant to be going to work. 上班去是很愉快的。
To lie on the beach feels comfortable. 躺在海灘上讓人感到很舒服。
Nothing feels right in our new house. 我們新房子裡，樣樣都覺得不對勁。
三、feel like的用法
1. 表示“感到想要(做某事)”，其後接名詞或動名詞。
如：I feel like a cup of tea. 我想喝杯茶。
Do you feel like (having) a drink? 要喝一杯嗎?
He didn’t feel like going to work. 他不想去上班。
2. 表示“摸起來好像”。
如：It feels like silk. 這東西摸起來像絲綢。
The material feels like velvet. 這料子摸起來像絲絨。
3. 表示“(感到)像是……(的樣子)”。
有以下兩種用法：
(1) 表示某事物給人的感覺。
如：It feels like rain (snow). 像是要下雨(雪)的樣子。
I was only there two days, but it felt like a week. 我只在那裡呆了兩天，但好像過了一個星期似的。
(2) 表示某人對某事的感覺。
如：I feel like catching a cold. 我像是感冒了。
They made me feel like one of the family. 他們讓我覺得就是這個家中的一員。
4. 後接反身代詞，表示覺得身體情況正常。
如：I don’t feel like myself today. 我今天感到不太舒服。
【注】有時可省略介詞 like。
如：He isn’t feeling himself this morning. 今天早上他感到不太舒服。
