一、比較級的變化規律
1、規則變化：由“原級+ -er”構成，-er讀音為/ ə /
(1)一般直接在詞尾加er。如 tall - taller;
(2) 以e結尾的`，直接加r ，如 fine – finer ;
(3)以”子音字母+y”結尾，改y為i再加er，如funny – funnier;
(4)以重讀閉音節結尾，雙寫詞尾子音字母再加er，如big – bigger;

(5)部分雙音節詞和多音節詞前加more。 如：tired—more tired。
注意：一般情況下，以-ed，-ing，-ous，-ful，-ly結尾的形容詞和副詞，比較級在其前面加more。(ugly, early除外，為規則變化)
2、不規則變化：
好good/ well—better
壞bad/ badly—worse
多many/ much—more
少little—less
二、比較級的常見句型及用法
1、A + 動詞+比較級 + than+ B . 表示“A比B更……”
如：I’m taller than you。
2、Which/Who+ 動詞+比較級, A or B ? 表示“A和B哪一個更……?
如：Which is more delicious, hamburger or bread?
3、比較級+ and +比較級：表示“越來越……”
如：She becomes prettier and prettier。
注意：加more構成比較級的部分雙音節詞和多音節詞，在表示“越來越……”時，其結構為：“more and more+形容詞/ 副詞原級”。
如：Lily is more and more beautiful。
4、the 比較級……，the 比較級……：表示“越……，越……”
如：The harder you learn, the better you understand。
三、比較級易錯點
以下面的易錯點為例，且看童鞋如何加速稱霸比較級大擂臺。
易錯點一：句中沒有關鍵詞than時，需要判斷是否為兩者的比較。
1、Which is _________ (heavy), a hen or a chicken?
解析：雖然沒有明顯的比較級關鍵詞“than“，但由”a hen or a chicken“可判斷題意為兩者的比較, 需用比較級，heavy的比較級為heavier, 所以此題答案為heavier。
易錯點二：一般情況下，以-ed，-ing，-ous，-ful，-ly結尾的形容詞和副詞，比較級在其前面加more。(ugly, early除外，為規則變化)。
2、His father felt ______________(tired) than his mother。
解析：由”than” 需要用比較級, “tired”為以“-ed”結尾的雙音節詞，其比較級需在前加more, 所以此題答案為more tired。
易錯點三：much/a lot/a little修飾部分雙音節及多音節詞時，more勿省略。
3、Angela baby is much _______________ (beautiful) than Sister Feng。
解析：由關鍵詞“than”，判斷需要用比較級。 看空格前的詞“much”，修飾比較級，表示“…得多” 。beautiful的比較級為more beautiful。所以此題答案為more beautiful。
