首先，我們來分析一下雅思口語低分的句式通常都是什麼樣的。
型別一，句式過於單一，只使用簡單句
雅思口語的五大基本句型是英語眾多句子的變化根據，即使是複雜句也是從很多句子演變過來的。所以對此考生一定是很清楚的，但是問題也就在此，因為過於熟悉所以習慣性在雅思口語表達中只使用簡單句。就造成了句式單一的情景，拿雅思口語中描寫人物類的話題為例，很多考生會這樣說：She’s very kind, like an old friend. She can sing. She can draw. She can dance. She is good at speaking English. She can tell us stories. She can play games with us. When we have an English lesson, we feel very happy. All of us are interested in her less.整體看這些句子，就只有簡單句，而且不斷重複主系表結構，主謂賓結構，即使有一個時間狀語從句When we have an English lesson, we feel very happy，也給人感覺像是國小生的英語作文，根本上不了雅思口語這樣的'“大場面”。久經沙場，英語能力出類拔萃的考官自然對此只會嗤之以鼻，高分是不可能的。
型別二，一味追求長難句
除了上面所說的口語表達只使用簡單句，導致句式單一外，還有一個很大的失分原因就是一味的追求長難句。其實這樣也是會適得其反的，因為口語表達雖然不能太low，但是也沒有必要用長難句堆砌，那樣就失去了口語的特色而是在寫作文了。常見的長難句堆砌如下：Working or travelling for one year could enrich students’ social experience，which is beneficial to their future development;enrich students’ social experience，which is beneficial to their future development……看似是寫作中常出現的句式，用在口語中未免有點不太恰當。
那麼，什麼樣的雅思口語表達才是合適的呢?
其實適當得體的雅思口語表達，一般難易程度適中，句式多變即可，並不追求過多長難句或者疑難詞。在表達的時候可以適當的融入定語從句，狀語從句，倒裝句等常用句型，合理表達意思即可。
可以看下面一段描寫人物的句式，其實就是很恰的表達，無論是在句式變化和難易程度上都是可以參照的模板性表達：The main reason why I adore her is that as a public figure and a professional host, she has her own hosting style and unique viewpoint. I remember she once said, “Over the past twenty years, when I hit rock bottom and was about to give up, I told myself that there is no lucky guy in this world. Luck is just a matter of good preparation meeting right opportunity. If I look at it now, it might be dark; but if I look into future, it is so bright that it burns my eyes.” Her words inspired me a lot.這裡有原因狀語從句The main reason why I…，時間狀語從句when I hit rock bottom and…, 賓語從句和there be句型I told myself that there is no lucky guy in this world.條件狀語從句If I look at it now, it might be dark等，還有一些固定搭配，so …that…等。可見其句式的多樣化，但是即使如此，我們並不會覺得他很難，因為都是大家熟知的句式且常見的表達。關鍵在於是否能夠靈活運用。
