第一、注意在自我介紹裡對自己進行亮點包裝，找到自己獨特的賣點，不露痕 跡地推銷自己。自我介紹時要體現你的學術修養，比如，你可以羅列你在大學期間所看的相關領域的經典著作、參加過的業內重要會議及收穫、跟本科導師所做過的 專案等。另外，你要強調你的文筆很好，比如，你是演講協會的成員，你獲過寫作方面的獎項，你在本科期間就發表過論文等，因為對於一個碩士研究生導師而言， 其實他非常關注他所帶學生的文筆好壞，文筆好就意味著在指導你寫論文的時候導師能省很多時間和精力。
第二、注意語言的準確性，即語法和用詞的準確性、詞彙的豐富性、句式的靈 活性(最好能構建一些長難句，如用後置定語、分詞結構、獨立主格結構、各種從句、倒裝、省略、強調等手法包裝你的答案，這樣能提升你的檔次，讓導師覺得你 的語言功底很好)、語音語調的準確性、斷句的自然性等。
第三、注意內容的連貫性和語言的銜接性。連貫性和銜接性體現了你思維邏輯 的縝密性，會讓考官覺得你具有研究生的潛質。要養成圍繞一個統一的話題而分點展開論證的論述習慣;在考前也可以準備一些轉承起合的連詞，如 tobeginwith,what’smore,finally,however,although,tosummarize等。
第四、注意語言的得體性，即言談是否得體，是否符合語境，實現了語言的交際功能。考官如果問生活化的問題，回答的時候你就選擇口語化的表達;若問學術性的`問題或者比較嚴肅的社會熱點話題，你就要回答得稍微正式一些。
第五、注意回答的個性化，不要人云亦云，要另闢蹊徑。具有創新精神是一名優秀 的研究人員所必備的素質，所以你在回答考官的問題時儘量想些有新意、有創意的答案。練習如何從研究生的角度綜合分析問題，對問題進行整合與深度加工，答出 廣度與深度。另外，如果你感覺自己理解得不是很透徹、很到位，或者你實在想不出什麼有特色的答案，你可以提出你對該問題的質疑或者提出自己對相關話題的擔 憂，然後誠懇地跟老師探討，不必擔心會因此頂撞老師，學術上本就應該百家爭鳴，百花齊放，在討論中，導師會從中看出你的獨到性、邏輯性和思維的敏銳性。
第六、注意細節。如果沒有聽懂考官的問題，你不必抓耳撓腮，而一定要淡定 --Wouldyoupleasesaythatagainmoreslowly?Ididn’tcatchyou.如果你在進考場之前門是關著的，你要 先敲門再進去;給考官遞交材料時要雙手奉上;要將手機調為靜音模式等。
第七、注意面試的時候一定要鎮定、自信，面對變化不要慌張。有的老師提問時喜歡在你對上個問題的回答中搜尋下一個問題的影子，其目的在於考察考生是否具備研究人員應該具備的應變能力。
第八、注意自己的言談舉止，要落落大方、不卑不亢、溫文爾雅;著裝得體，不要太社會化，奇裝異服等，要牢記自己的學生身份。
第九、注意知己知彼百戰百勝。在英語面試前可對考官進行一番調查，瞭解考官的出題風格(喜歡考專業知識、熱點話題還是常考話題)、語言風格(是英音還是美音)、喜好(如喜歡什麼樣的學生--穩重型、活潑型、創意型還是學術型)等。
