SAT閱讀題型考察點是多樣性的，想要翻越SAT這座大山，瞭解閱讀題型會讓我們更快速把握閱讀的重點，鎖定關鍵詞，更加省時高效的完成篇章閱讀。學會辨認題目的考點，明白題目中究竟是想要考哪一方面。我們可以將SAT的考點型別分為六類。
一、Main Idea-主旨題
1、考察點：考察的是文章的中心思想

3、解題技巧
在做主旨題的時候，返回原文檢視文章的開頭和結尾部分。在閱讀文章的時候，注意每一段的首位都是重點部分，這些部分往往是對整段的概括，中心內容，從中往往能很快找到作者的觀點。注意那些連線詞，比如：furthermore, moreover, notably, and significantly，這些詞的後面往往也會引出文中的主旨。
值得注意的是，SAT文章中一般不會直接給出文章的主旨句，這個時候，小夥伴們可以想想以下幾個問題：
1) 這篇文章是關於什麼的?或者是關於誰的?
2) 作者關於這個事物共說了幾個方面?
3) 作者通過這篇文章想要說明什麼?或者是想要告訴讀者什麼?
在做“主旨題”或者是“文章目的”時，要注意以下詞彙的表達，都是關於這類題型的提問方式。不要因為不理解題目的問法而理解錯了題目。

3、解題技巧
當題目問道細節題時，我們通常應該注意3點
1) 要注意問題當中的關鍵字(動詞或者名詞)
2) 返回原文快速定位關鍵詞或者是它的近義詞，
3) 定位文中的關鍵詞後，重新再讀一遍先關的句子，確保這不是出題人故意利用相同的單詞來迷惑考生。

三、Inferences-推斷題
1、考察點：考察的是作者表達的隱含意義，這就需要考生進行一個推理的過程。若果項中有的答案是直接能從原文中找到的往往不是正確答案，所謂隱含意義就是從文中已有的資訊推斷出隱含的資訊。

3、解題技巧
在做推斷題的時候，注意答案一定不是作者在文中直接表明的觀點，而是通過間接表達，需要讀者通過推測得出答案的。這就需要考生們自己進行判斷。
在做推斷題時，要注意以下的這些詞彙：

四、Tone/Attitude-語氣、態度題
1、 考察作者針對某個事件或是人物的態度，看法。
2、 提問方式

3、解題技巧
在做態度/語氣題時，注意文章中的那些表示情感，價值觀的詞，主語作者使用的形容詞，比如說是：fragrant, tranquil, magnanimous 這些表示褒義的詞彙，還有例如：fetid, ruffled, stingy等這類表示貶義的詞彙。
表示態度/語氣題的詞彙有以下多種表達：
