2016會考英語閱讀表達

  第一篇:

Tina is eleven years old. She used to have a bad habit. She bit(咬)her nails(指甲).“I used to do it when I was young,”she says.“I wanted to stop, and sometimes I even thought to give up for a day. But the next thing I knew,I was doing it again.” Her friend Kristen used to play with her long hair.

It seems hard to break bad habits. But if you are ready, you can try to do the following things.

Keep a diary for a day or two.

Write down your feeling when your bad habit appears. The more you understand the reason behind your habit, the better you can control it.

Pay attention to when your bad habit appears.

Do you often eat junk food or candy when you watch TV?Do you usually think about sending messages to your friends when you do homework? Then think about ways you can change and try to find other ways to calm yourself, like slow talks and deep breath(呼吸).

Break bad habits by doing useful things.

Instead of biting your nails or playing with your hair, keep your fingers busy writing or drawing. Eat some fruits instead of junk food.

Hold on to it.

Maybe you've heard “Old habits die hard”,it's true. It usually takes three weeks to a month to break a bad habit. But don't give it up and you'll have more success than failure in the end.

  第二篇:

Kiss in a Box 盒子中吻

The story goes that some time ago, a man punished(處罰) his 3-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping (包裝用的) paper. He was very poor and he became angry when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.

The next morning, the little girl brought the gift to her father and said, "This is for you, Daddy." He was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction(過強的反應), but his anger suddenly began to burn again when he found the box was empty. He shouted at her, "Don't you know that when you give someone a present, there's supposed to be something inside it?"

The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said, "Oh, Daddy, it is not empty. I blew kisses into the box. All for you, Daddy." The father was very upset. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged for her forgiveness.

The man kept that gold box by his bed for years and whenever he was discouraged, he would take out a full kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.

Each of us as humans have been given a gold container(容器) filled with love and kisses from our children, friends, family. There is no more precious possession(寶貴的財產) anyone could hold.
