1、Task response
即，對應題目要求。簡單來說，就是不能偏題。要回答題目要求你回答的內容。
小作文的要求一般會包含三點：1. Summarize the information. 總結資訊，要用自己的語言對圖表資訊進行概述，而不是簡單地羅列資料，說明資料，而是要解釋資料背後代表著什麼，說明了什麼。2. Reporting the main features. 說明主要資料，這考驗考生們對於資料的選取，不是每一個數據都要寫的，而是要針對主要特點、主要內容進行描述即可，次要資訊不要亂加;3. Make comparisons. 作比較，比較相同點和不同點，不能只比較一點。(這三個要求必須要全部做到，才能達到5分的要求;全部滿足且能做到一般水平的描述，能達到6分的要求;在前兩者的基礎上能夠做到適當的表達每部分的資訊，能達到7分的要求。)
而大作文，則是要求有明確觀點，根據題目要求來寫，所舉的例子都要能論證觀點的。
2、Coherence & Cohesion
連貫性和邏輯。邏輯性就是要求因果之間有較為直接的聯絡，不要跳躍性的思維。這點是很多中國考生所忽略的，一定要是直接的原因或者結果才能緊跟其後。
而連貫性的要求就要使用恰當適合的連詞，使得文章的聯絡更為緊密。常見的連線詞有：表遞進(and/furthermore/moreover/besides/What’s more…);錶轉折(but/however/although/though/nevertheless/yet);表對比(by contrast/on the contrary/to the contrary/on the opposite…);表類比(similar to/the same with/as/like…);表舉例(such as/for example/for instance/as an example of…).
3、Lexical resources
詞性、同義詞的`替換。這點十分重要，在寫作中，不管是小作文還是大作文，最好不要重複出現某個單詞，如果讓考官感覺到重複，就直接在5分以下。所以考生一定需要積累一定量的詞彙，進行同義替換，使得文章看起來用詞比較多樣性，儘管這些詞表示的都是同一個意思。而且用詞也要注意其準確性，基本不會出現錯誤的用詞，才能達到7分的要求。
4、Grammar range & accuracy
在語法結構部分，使用型別的要求優先於準確的要求，但是兩者都達到是最好的。必須出現兩種以上的語法結構，構成複雜句的情況：1.使用連詞;2.使用從句，T1中用定語從句、狀語從句多;T2中使用名詞性從句、定語從句較多;3.分詞、非謂語的使用(非謂語的難度較大，7分對這個的要求比較高);4.標點符號、固定搭配、介詞的準確使用，是7分以上對於細節更細緻的要求;5.插入語的使用，可以使表達更加地道，但是要注意的是書面插入語的使用。6.倒裝和虛擬規則比較多，可以避免使用，以免出錯率過高。

Limited User. Basic competence is limited to frequent problems in understanding and expression. Is not ableto use complex language.
水平有限,只限在熟悉的狀況下有基本的理解力,在理解與表達上常發生問題,無法使用複雜英語.
