便條開篇須有稱呼語，但稱呼可以比較隨便。
日期部分可寫在便條的右上角。
日期的簽署通常只需寫星期幾或星期幾的上午、下午，也可只寫上午或下午和具體時間。 只寫日期也可以。

便條的形式和內容簡潔，故可以用幾句話概括。
