附：英語六級聽力技巧之注意辨別近音
同音、近音詞句一樣，在英語語言中也有許多單詞讀音很接近。它們在被讀出時，很容易對考生造成干擾，使你產生多餘的聯想。另外，在對所提問題設定的`選項中，通常會出現與聽力材料中讀音接近的單詞，作為對原句中音或義的干擾。比如：
W: I've got to buy a new car.
M: Really?
Q: What does the woman mean?
選項：
A) She purchased a car recently.
B) She knew the car was in the lot.
C) She always forgets to clean her car.
D) She really needs a new car.
可以看出，B)項中的knew是對原文中new的近音干擾，C)項中的forget是對have got to的近音干擾。因此，在遇到這類題時，要求考生要仔細，不要一看到干擾項就立即作出選擇，從而中了題設陷阱。
此外，還要注意語音、語調的問題。中國考生對英語中以語調、語氣表意的句子不熟悉，從而難以領會說話者要表達的真實意圖，結果造成失分。因此，應試者應對這一項加以研究，並加強訓練。以陳述句為表達形式而句末用升調，表示說話人的懷疑，不同意或不完全同意對方的觀點。句子結構是陳述形式，但句末用的是降調或低升調，表示說話人的無所謂或樂觀的態度，不表示懷疑。感嘆句用升調結尾，表懷疑。疑問句句末用升調表示懷疑，而用降調不表懷疑。如Is he honest?用降調錶示說話者認為他是誠實的。同學們對連續和弱讀的現象也應有所瞭解。
