1.詞形轉換。一般來說，根據句子的需要將要寫的單詞轉化成相應的形式。常見的就是動詞的.各種變化;代詞的主格、賓格、所有格、反身代詞形式;形容詞和副詞之間的轉換;基數詞和序數詞的變化等等。例如：
(1)This is my ______(one) time to go abroad.I'm so excited.
(2)He did his homework so ______(care) that he made few mistakes.
(3)She couldn't dress ______(her) when she was three years old.
(4)These CDs must be ______(Amy) because she loves music very much.
(5)His house is ______(build) out of used glass bottles.
第(1)小題意思是“這是我的第一次出國”，考的是序數詞，所以填first;第(2)小題意思是“做作業很仔細”，修飾動詞did的應該是副詞，所以要用care的副詞形式，那就是carefully;第(3)小題考的是dress oneself，所以用her的反身代詞herself;第(4)小題考的是名詞所有格，所以答案是Amy's;第(5)小題的句型是被動語態，is後面接動詞的過去分詞，所以答案是built。
2.分析句子的含義。有些單詞即使是同一個意思也會用不同的單詞。例如：
(1)May I ______(借) your dictionary? Mine is at home.
(2)How long may I ______ (借) this book?
(3)Would you please ______(借) me your pen?
這三個句子都是考查“借”這個詞，答案卻是不一樣的。第(1)小題的“借”是borrow，第(2)小題是keep，第(3)小題是lend。要掌握好
這幾個詞就需要平時多區分，瞭解用法才能保證不失分。
3.注意固定搭配。很多詞的用法都是固定的，例如：
(1)She usually practice p______ the piano several hours a day.
(2)They have trouble w______ out the problems.
(3)I(過去常常)collect stamps，but now I am not interested in it any more.
(4)n is always ______(對……嚴格要求)her child in the study.

第(4)小題中片語“對某人嚴格要求”是be strict with，be動詞已經給出來了，所以答案是strict with。
總之，在做詞彙題的時候要做到細心、周全，把基礎題的分數拿到手。
