1、三步法解題
（1）通讀全文，瞭解全文大意和主題;
（2）找錯並改正; （3）通讀全文，核對檢驗，考友經驗談：英語六級短文改錯的解題方法。
2、解題步驟
（1）在理解句子的基礎上，先從動詞、句法的角度判斷有無這方面的錯誤以及錯誤的'位置;
（2）確定無句法錯誤後，再考慮用法、搭配和近形近義方面的錯誤；
（3）在排除了上述兩種可能後，應著重從語篇角度尋找有無上下文語義方面的錯誤（注意連線性詞語和那些可能有反義詞的詞）；
（4）注意標有題號的各行與上行或下行相臨處的錯誤；
（5）若經過以上步驟還無法判斷錯誤所在，則應暫時放棄該行，而繼續往下做，待做完全文，對全文有更深入、更完整的理解的基礎上進行檢驗時再作判斷。宜從介詞及一些簡單而易被忽視的語法角度的“細微處”多加考慮。
There are great many reasons for studying what philosophers 1.___have said in the past. One is that we cannot separate the history of philosophy from which of science.
