託福聽力考試技巧——場景法指的是考生通過對話揭示的場景關鍵詞，判斷磁帶上的對話或演講發生的實際生活場景，再根據這一生活場景答題。場景法可行的原因在於托福考試的目的。託福測試的是外國學生在美國學習和生活要用到的基本語言能力，所以託福聽力在內容上永遠離不了學習和生活這一主題。學生生活的圈子不大，典型的仍然像中國的5點式，即宿舍-教室-食堂-圖書館-購物。而託福聽力已經考了幾十年了，學校裡的幾乎每一個角落上都被考過了。只要考生能熟悉學校裡的各個場所經常發生的學生生活場景，僅憑几個詞就可以知道整個對話或演講的大體內容，從而得出(甚至猜出)正確答案。
在場景法的後面，我們將歸納美國大學生活的各個場合及其典型的對話內容。在這裡，我們的`先介紹一下如何利用場景法。
為什麼要用託福聽力考試場景法?
很多做過託福聽力題的考生都有這種感受：即有些對話裡的詞全都聽懂而且明白單詞的意思，就是選不出答案。更離譜的是，即使讓你看文字答案答題，你也未必會有很高的正確率。為什麼會出現這種情況呢?原因在於場景，即英語裡常說的situation。我們平時碰到有人試圖安慰心情不好的自己時，經常會說“你不是我，你不會明白的”，就是這個道理。在託福的聽力中，“清”的肯定不是“旁觀者”，而只有“當局者”才會最清楚對話到底說的是什麼。而要成為“當局者”，你必須熟悉託福聽力的大學生活背景。下面的例子列舉了熟悉場景的重要性：

所以，託福的聽力中的有些題目僅憑聽清楚每個單詞的字面意思是不夠的(很多時候甚至是不必要的)，你還必須生動地想象出對話所發生的具體生活場景。
託福聽力場景法的魅力
例如學生入學時登記註冊的場景。如果你平時記住了關於register的 詞彙 ，如registration，course enrollment form，signed by academic advisor，get the department’s approval，tables set up aIl the way around，stamp your form，approved，pay for，tuition，officially enrolled，pick up identification card。
那麼，即使你聽力能力較差，對話的具體細節沒能聽懂，你也能答對題。如果你不相信的話，請試著僅根據註冊這一大學裡發生的場景，而不根據對話的內容，做下面兩道題。
