A police stopped a motorist who was speeding on the street.
大街上的一個超速駕駛者被警察攔住了。
"But officer," the man said, "I can explain."
“但是警官”這個人說道，“我可以解釋的`”。
"Just be quiet," snapped the officer. "I'm going to put you in jail until the chief gets back."
“保持安靜”，警察突然說道。“我將把你送往監獄，直到長官回來。
"But , officer, I …."

A few hours later, the officer looked in on his prisoner and said, "You are lucky because the chief is at his daughter's wedding. He'll be in a good mood when he gets back."

3年級幽默英文小故事：企鵝和動物園A man is driving down the freeway with his two pet penguins when he gets pulled over by a cop for speeding. After the cop hands over the speeding ticket to the driver, he notices the 2 penguins. The cop informs the driver that he must take the penguins to the zoo. The driver agrees to do so.

Two months later, the same man is pulled over by the same cop for speeding. The cop notices the penguins again only now they are wearing sun glasses and eating ice cream.

The cop says, "I thought I told you to take those penguins to the zoo."

The man responds, "I did take them to the zoo, now I'm taking them to the beach."
