南京市莫愁中等專業學校是全日制國家級重點職業學校、國家級綠色學校、江蘇省四星級中等職業學校、江蘇省高水平示範性中等專業學校、江蘇省模範學校、江蘇省德育先進學校，江蘇省教科研先進集體、江蘇省技能大賽先進單位。學校坐落於南京河西新城，毗鄰奧體中心，已有50年辦學歷史，現有五年制高職與三年制中專兩個辦學層次，辦學整體水平在南京市居於前列，具有較高的社會聲譽與知名度。
南京市莫愁中等專業學校設有藥學系、機電系、現代服務等三個系和古籍修復中心，擁有藥劑、電子資訊科技、連鎖經營、文物鑑定與修復四大專業群。其中文物鑑定與修復、連鎖經營與管理專業為江蘇省特色專業，應用電子專業為江蘇省品牌專業、藥學專業、工藝美術為江蘇省示範專業。

Nanjing Mochou Technical Secondary School, a full-time professional school, is a national key school with a history of more than forty years. As a model school and green school, it is No.1 among similar schools in Nanjing considering comprehensive qualities. There are about 3100 students and 200 faculty members enrolled respectively, over 150 of whom have the middle or high titles. The school has three groups of professions, including medicine, machine and electronics as well as integration, which cover 13 specific professions. The students from junior middle school are engaged in two different categories of education---- three-year technical secondary and five-year senior professional education.
