託福成績一下來，有的考生就納悶了：為什麼我覺得託福寫作非常簡單，我簡直是一筆千行，下筆如有神，可是託福寫作的`成績依然不高呢?小編提醒，這可能就犯了“滔滔不絕”的錯誤，託福寫作最經典的高分標準是清晰，通順，用簡練的語言表述自己的思想。
有一部分考生在考試時一見到作文題，便感到很對自己的胃口，覺得有很多內容要寫。於是乎千言萬語湧上心頭，寫著前一句想著後一句。往往前句尚未寫完便接上了後一句，辛辛苦苦寫了一大堆(甚至有的考生寫了11個自然段)仍意猶未盡，結果是令判卷的老師頭疼不已，無法繼續往下看。其原因就在於這種沒有構思、未按提綱要求的作文章法太亂，評議質量差。我國的傳統作文題都是規定式作文，這跟TOEFL考試不一樣。因此，寫作時必須按給定的提綱或提示去寫，過於放任的做法是不可取的，更不要另有所圖，滔滔不絕，這是進入實際操作前的一個基本認識問題，稍不留神就會出問題。
要控制這種“意識流”的寫法，必須嚴格按照三點提綱來寫。假如第一段要求描述某個現象，務必不要先進入到原因分析，否則到了第二段該分析原因的時候就沒東西可寫了。明智的做法是投其所好，該如何就如何，這一原則適用於所有的考試。另外，有的考生一方面有話則多，一發而不可收，控制不了自己;一方面無話則隱，該說的話沒有體現出來。我們不妨把作文的要求量化到每一個段落：一篇200詞左右的作文一般不會超過15 句話，把這15 句話根據題目要求分配到各段中去，每一段大概只說那麼幾句話，絕不多說，事實上往往是說得越多，錯誤越多。因此，順著提綱走，每一段不要寫得太多，點到為止，見好就收，這才是最穩妥的對策。
實際上，在託福寫作中容易滔滔不絕的考生，多半是英文水平較好的同學，如果大家能夠控制住這種傾訴的慾望，有條有理，清晰簡練的寫託福作文，那麼，高分就不是問題。
