託福詞彙Meatspace

在網路世界(cyberspace)裡，我們可以是蓋世英雄，也可以是絕世美女;或許富甲一方，甚至身披黃袍也不是沒有可能。這樣美輪美奐的虛擬世界 (virtual world) 怎能不讓我們沉迷呢?也許是這個虛擬空間太過美好了吧，沉迷其中的人們給相對殘酷的現實世界創造了一個看著也有點殘酷的名稱——meatspace。

Meatspace is a word referring to real life or the physical world, i.e. the flesh-and-blood real world, and conceived as the opposite of cyberspace or virtual reality.

Meatspace指的.是與“網路世界”或“虛擬現實”相對的“現實生活”或“物理世界”，也就是我們所說的“有血有肉的真實世界”。

該詞最早出現於科幻類文章中，並於2000年被收入《牛津英語字典》。
