2016年劍橋商務英語寫作7C原則

劍橋商務英語寫作有著名的7C原則:Clarity清楚、Correctness準確、conciseness簡潔、completeness完整、courtesy禮貌、concreteness具體、consideration體貼。下面就和yjbys網小編一起來了解下吧!

2016年劍橋商務英語寫作7C原則

注意:在商務函件中,傳達的內容和傳達的方式同等重要。

原則一Concreteness 具體

儘量使用明確、具體的詞彙。這樣你的信函將更為專業、準確、有趣並且有力。(由於有時需要使用某種外交手段,可能會反其道而行之。)

原則二Clarity 清楚

“清楚”在於“在正確的場合使用正確的詞彙”,具體而言:

1 使用短小、熟悉並且在會話中經常使用的詞彙,然後將其有效地組句成段。

2 一句話不要講述過多的思想,一句話最多講一個點。

3 每句話不超過17-20個詞。

4 如果情況允許,可以使用一些直觀輔助,像舉個栗子、做個圖表等等。

 原則三Correctness 準確

“準確”指沒有錯誤:即資料、陳述和意見都準確清晰。此外,“準確”還指撰寫人在拼寫、語法、標點以及格式上都沒有問題。

 原則四Conciseness 簡潔

簡潔指在不違背其他C原則的前提下儘量使用最少的的`詞彙來表達自己的意思。

簡潔的反面就是Wordiness(冗長),一般有三種情況:

umlocution(委婉迂迴)使用過長的表達

e qualifiers(模糊修飾語)使用沒有意義形容詞和副詞

ing(補白)表達沒有意義,只是填補空缺

1.I have caused enquiries to be made with a view to establishing the reasons for our inability to supply your order.

is really productive meeting.

Key:

1.I have enquired into the reason why we can’t supply your order.

is a productive meeting.

How to be concise?

1. 一個詞替代片語

In the near future--soon; will you be kind enough to--please

2. 避免一些which/that 從句

The receipt that is enclosed documents(V.) your purchase.

改The enclosed receipt documents your purchase.

3. 同一句話避免使用相同的詞彙

Please quote your best price for your best quality.

改Please quote your lowest price for your best quality.

4. 避免無意義的表達

Please be advised that your admission statement was received.

改Your admission statement was received.

5. 避免不必要的介詞短語

The issue of most relevance is teamwork.

改The most relevant issue is teamwork.

6. 控制被動語態的使用

The total balance due(總額) will be found on page 2 of this report.

改The balance due is on page 2 of this report.

改You will see the balance due on page 2.

 原則五Completeness 完整

完整包括所有有關“who、what、where、when、why以及how”的資訊。

比如寫一封order的時候,我們應該考慮貨物是什麼,什麼時候需要,貨物由誰運輸然後誰接收,最後以什麼樣的付款方式。

原則六Courtesy 禮貌

禮貌不僅要求我們用禮貌用語,避免衝撞對方,而且也需要我們充分考慮收件人的心情以及對方的考慮,後部分和consideration的要旨是一致的。

及時回信

避免使用冒犯的語言(例如帶有歧視的語言)

脾氣溫和

多為對方考慮

體現對方能獲得的益處

強調積極怡人的資訊

誠實完整

  原則七Consideration 體貼

這一點和商務寫作中的You Attitude的要求是一致的,都需要一顆真誠的心。You Attitude可以見:傳送~
