例1：A) The apples and pears might not be so good.
B) The apples are not as good as the pears.
C) The apples and pears are very good.
D) The apples and pears are as good as they look.
W: I intend to buy some fruit for the children. These apples and pears seem to be in season. I'll get two dozen of each.
M: I hope they're as good as they look.

該類題目著重聽第二個人說的話，女士說她想給孩子們買一些水果，這些蘋果梨是應季水果，她要每一種買兩斤;男士說我希望它們能像看起來這麼好。短對話一定要懂得從話裡推出言外之意，因此男士的意思是這些水果可能沒有那麼好。而且A選項裡有推測詞語might，表明說話語氣委婉，更加趨於正確答案的特徵。
第二種對話場景題，該題目選項有以下情況：1.地點; do表目的;3.-ing;4.A and B結構，人物關係。
例2：A)At home.B)In a phone box.C)In her office.D)In a friend's house.
M: Please hold the line, Mrs. Smith. The doctor will talk to you in a minute.

該題目型別其實你把之前的場景詞彙積累的'夠多，聽的時候夠敏感，就會由hold the line, hang up, line cut推出是在a phone box.

選項是不定式表目的，男士說他不太確定新的薪水是不是夠高以及新的職位是不是自己想要的;他喜歡他現在的工作。因此可以推理出來他對於新工作是不是要接受。
