國小常用英語口語短語

1. 正經點! Have some decency!

e.g. Stop playing with the cake. Have some decency! Seriously…

e.g. Ok, stop joking around. Seriously …

注:說這兩句話的情況不同,”have some decency”通常是在對方有了一些惡作劇的行為之後,用來提醒他舉止莊重一點。”Seriously…”則多用來轉變話題,跟中文的`”說真格的……”類似,說完這句話,說者就把話題轉為嚴肅的內容。

2.乾脆點! Make up your mind!

e.g. Geez, we’ve been over this a thousand times. Make up your mind!

3.打擾了! Excuse me for bothering you.

注:因為文化的差異,美國人很少有這種說法,大部分的美國人都不認為要說這麼謙虛的話。

 4.清醒點! Sober up!

e.g. Your parents are coming. Sober up.

Wake up! (Wake up and smell the coffee!)

e.g. Wake up! You look like you had a long night. 清醒點,你看起來像是整夜沒睡。

注:酒醉或吃藥後,多會用”Sober up”。”Wake up!”或”Wake up and smell the

coffee!”則是”腦袋裡在想什麼呀,醒醒吧你!”用來訓斥別人面對現實。

  5.別理他! Don’t mind him.

e.g. Don’t mind him. He’s just playing. Forget him.

e.g. He saw me steal the diamond!

B: Forget him. I’ll take care of him.

注:forget him是”別理他!”,而”別理我!”是leave me alone。

6.有眼光! Good taste.

e.g. That looks really good. You’ve got good taste.

 7.誰說的? Who said that? e.g. It’s not like that at all. Who said that? Says who?

e.g. They cancelled our show.

B: Says who?

注:這兩句話除了可用來詢問是什麼人說的,它的意思多半是用來否認所聽到的訊息。

 8.很難說。 Hard to say. 表示不清楚、不確定而難下定論。

  9.老實說。 To tell you the truth (that…)/ Honestly…

  10.你撒謊! You lie!

  11.真噁心! So disgusting!

  12.真礙眼! Rubs me the wrong way.

e.g. I can’t put my finger on it, but he really rubs me the wrong way.

我說不上來,但他真礙眼!

注:說這句話時通常有人惹到你,但也可能只是因為某人的外貌、言行令人不舒服。

 13.別想溜! Don’t run away!

注:run away也可指閃避問題,如:”Don’t run away from your problems. ” 是要對方面對,並解決問題。

14.不客氣。 You’re welcome. / No problem. / No bother./ Don’t worry about it/ Don’t mention it.

  15. 不上道。 Don’t know how to play the game.

e.g. Everyone accepted the bribe except him. He doesn’t know how to play the game.

注:這是現代的俚語。有一句Playing the field,它的意思就大不一樣了,是表示同時跟很多不同的人約會。

 16.你輸了! You lost!

  17.吵死了! So noisy!

  18.不見得。 Not necessarily.

e.g. Everyone is gonna hate me.

B: Not necessarily. (意味”情況可能正好相反”)

19.兜風去。 Let’s go out for a drive.

e.g. I feel so trapped in here. Let’s go out for a drive!

我覺得有被困在這裡得感覺。咱們兜風去吧!

Let’s go out for some air!

e.g. We’ve been studying all day. Let’s go out for some air!

注:going out for a drive 是開車或騎車出去。 going out for some air 除了開車或騎車,也可表示用走來散心。
